Acupuncture (from latin acus: needle, pungere: puncture)
In acupunture certain points
of the body are punctured with needles. These selected body
points can be additionally stimulated with warmth,"moxibistion";
bleeding or acupressure.
Acupuncture is a part of traditional medicine. They
do not seek the cause of the illness as in Western medicine,
they consider the whole person. Important concepts are "Ying
and Yang". The goal is to bring the "Ying and Yang"
in balance, so that the flow of ground energy Qi is harmonious.
Disturbances lead to illness.
Acupuncture Procedure:
1. Survey the medical history in accordance with the criteria
of Chinese
-- medicine (foundation).
2. Insert the acupuncture needles for a period of 20-40 minutes.
Regular acupuncture sessions will then take place. With chronic
illnesses 2-3 sessions per week (10-15 sessions altogether),
with acute illnesses daily (3-6 sessions altogether).
